Ten Hag was coy about potential signings to replace the injured midfielder. However, reports are beginning to emerge suggesting there is activity behind the scenes.

Along with competing interest from Chelsea, Manchester United are claimed to be in touch over a move for the Austrian.

Sabitzer linked to United

Manchester United’s need is greater due to Eriksen’s injury, and this is a very logical move if United can get it done.
Sabitzer, 28, has made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich this season, but only seven of these games have been as a starter.
He has one goal and one assist. Last season he only started eight league games for Bayern, since his move from RB Leipzig.
Sabitzer is a versatile midfielder who would strengthen United’s options. The German transfer deadline is 5pm but they can still sell or loan players after that.
United offered Carrasco
The Telegraph report Atletico Madrid have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Belgian attacker Yannick Carrasco.
Atletico are angling for a permanent move rather than a loan, which might make this one unlikely.
