Manchester United will be desperate to sign a new striker this summer as Ruben Amorim seeks more goals next season.
Manchester United have invested in strikers over the last two summer transfer windows, but still need reinforcements.
United signed Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta in 2023, paying big money to lure the Dane over to Old Trafford.
Results have been mixed so far, with Hojlund enduring difficulties in front of goal this season.
United also landed Joshua Zirkzee last summer, believing the Dutchman could bring real quality after shining for Bologna.
However, Zirkzee has looked better as a number 10, leaving United to consider signing another forward this summer.

Manchester United hold Victor Osimhen talks
United are closing in on Matheus Cunha, but the Wolverhampton Wanderers ace is expected to join as a number 10.
The Brazilian won’t come cheap, with United expected to meet his £62.5million release clause.
United may still move for a new striker as well, with reports suggesting that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is a prime target.
French reporter Santi Aouna claims United held talks with Osimhen’s representatives on Monday with a view to a summer deal.
Osimhen allegedly wants a deal worth around €12million-a-year, which comes out to around £200,000-a-week.
Whether United can afford to sanction that deal remains to be seen, with Champions League qualification potentially required.
Osimhen is a proven goalscorer, though, having smashed 76 goals in 133 games for Napoli.
Now on loan at Galatasaray, Osimhen has hit 33 goals in 37 games over in Türkiye.
Reports suggest United can sign Osimhen for around £40million, but committing to his wages will be the big point of discussion.
Osimhen allegedly not United’s top priority
Intriguingly, Aouna claims that, whilst United have held talks with Osimhen, the Nigerian is not the top target.
Aouna claims that United really want to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres, who played under Ruben Amorim at Sporting.
We can certainly understand why Amorim would want to reunite with Gyokeres, to the point where he would prefer the Swede over Osimhen.
This is surely a tough call for United; Gyokeres has familiarity with Amorim and his tactical approach, but Osimhen has scored goals at a higher level.
United will need to commit big money to any striker signing, with a goalscorer seemingly the next big priority after Cunha – and these alleged talks mean a deal for Osimhen cannot be ruled out.
