Manchester United are set to focus on signing Juventus defender Bremer this summer with the Brazilian becoming a key target.
United sent a scout to watch Juventus in action against Atalanta on Sunday, according to recent reports.
Those reports suggested that United were focusing on Atalanta midfielder Ederson as a potential summer signing.
Well, United may also have been checking in on another Brazilian star from that game – Juventus ace Bremer.
Bremer becoming Manchester United priority
iNews report that United are interested in signing Juventus defender Bremer this summer.
It’s claimed that the centre back is high on United’s wish list for the summer window and a release clause could help United.
Bremer only signed a new deal earlier this season but is understood to have a £43million release clause in that contract.
That fee is manageable for United and potentially more appealing than paying much, much more for Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite.
The problem is that other clubs also fancy signing Bremer, including Real Madrid, Chelsea and even Tottenham Hotspur.
United would face stern competition for Bremer but he appears to be a key target – and could yet end up alongside the aforementioned Ederson at Old Trafford.

Bremer once hailed for Cristiano Ronaldo display
Bremer has been one of Italian football’s top centre backs for years now having also impressed with Torino.
Juventus managed to raid their local rivals for Bremer in 2022, and he has now picked up three caps for Brazil.
During his Torino days, Bremer was hailed in Italy for completely dominating Italian football’s top strikers.
Reporter Camillo Forte praised Bremer for handling Dusan Vlahovic, Romelu Lukaku and even Cristiano Ronaldo during his Juventus days.
“The Brazilian has been expressing himself at very high levels for some time now. On Friday he stopped Vlahovic, but in recent seasons he had also canceled out champions of the caliber of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lukaku,” said Forte.
Maybe Bremer’s performances against Ronaldo helped tempt Juve into making a move, having established himself as one of Serie A’s very best.
Ronaldo was a goalscoring machine for Juventus and any defender earning praise for their displays against him must have something about them.
Bremer has proven that his displays against Ronaldo weren’t just a one-off, dominating Serie A attackers for years now – and his excellence could lead him to Old Trafford this summer.
