Manchester United have announced the club’s released and retained list, with Paul Pogba heading a raft of senior and academy stars in leaving Old Trafford at the end of the month.
The Red Devils have confirmed a total of 11 departures for players whose contracts are set to expire on June 30. The figure includes six from the first-team plus five youth prospects, with an additional exit on the cards for Martin Svidersky despite being offered new terms.
Club chiefs initially presented Svidersky with an offer to extend his stay in Manchester into a fifth year.
But it is now expected that the Slovakia U21 international will instead head for pastures new after failing to break into the senior fold after his arrival from Tatran Presov.

Manchester United expect Svidersky departure after announcing retained list
Manchester United signed Svidersky for the club’s youth ranks in 2018 and he progressed to play 31 times at U18s level. The 19-year-old has additionally featured 31 times with the U23s, plus in five UEFA Youth League fixtures during the 2021/22 season under Neil Wood.
The youth prospects confirmed as heading out of the exit door this month include D’Mani Mellor, Reece Devine and Connor Stanley. Manchester United are supporting each in their efforts to find new clubs, with Mellor the only one of the trio to make a senior appearance.
Mellor played in defeat to FC Astana in the Europa League in November 2019 as a second-half substitute. Devine, meanwhile, enjoyed some senior minutes on loan at St Johnstone in 2021 and Walsall in 2022. Stanley joined Atlanta United’s B-team on loan during 2021.
Paul Woolston will also leave Manchester United in a playing capacity after an injury forced the goalkeeper to retire. He will remain close to the club as he starts the next chapter of his career. Paul McShane will also continue coaching in the academy after his retirement.

Manchester United confirm Pogba exit among six released senior stars
Pogba heads the six senior stars Manchester United will release this summer, alongside Jesse Lingard, Edison Cavani, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and Lee Grant. Each were already announced as departing Old Trafford ahead of their respective contracts expiring this June.
Pogba featured in 20 Premier League fixtures this term under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and later Ralf Rangnick. Matic made 23 top-flight outings, while Lingard enjoyed 16, Cavani 15 and Mata seven. Grant last played for the Red Devils against Astana in 2019.
Red Devils confirmed option to retain Levitt has been exercised
Manchester United have also confirmed the club has exercised an option to retain Dylan Levitt. The 21-year-old spent the 2021/22 campaign away from Old Trafford on loan with Dundee United, for whom he featured in 29 fixtures while offering six goals and an assist.
The 12-cap Wales international provided five of his goals and his sole assist during games in the Scottish Premiership. Levitt will now look to build on his sole first-team appearance for Manchester United next season, following starting the 2-1 defeat at Astana in 2019.
