The Sun report Manchester United are ‘confident’ of signing Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer – on one condition.
This is dependent on Tottenham missing out on Champions League football next season.
Tottenham are currently in fourth place, but risk being overtaken by a resurgent Liverpool or even Newcastle.

United ‘confident’ on Kane
Kane’s £200,000 per week contract expires in 2024 and his next move is uncertain. He would not join another London club.
Meanwhile, City and Liverpool do not need him after investing in a striker last summer.
The Sun claim United have made contact with Kane through a third party and have received an encouraging response.
Kane may even want a move to boost his chance of silverware even if Tottenham secure a top four place, but his club would be less resistant to selling if they are in the Europa League.
He would join former teammate Christian Eriksen at Old Trafford if he makes the move.
United watching Tammy Abraham
A separate report in the Athletic claims Manchester United have sent scouts to watch Tammy Abraham in action.
However, the Roma forward has had an inconsistent season in Italy, scoring only seven goals from 34 games.
Chelsea also have a buy-back clause to bring him back which they could exercise, further complicating the situation.
