Manchester United are already looking at buying one of Sunderland’s summer signings after strong start

Manchester United have been expanding their list of midfield targets ahead of 2026, with multiple Premier League players emerging on the radar.

It has been a long time since Manchester United fans were happy with the team’s midfield.

United didn’t sign a midfielder in the summer, despite losing Christian Eriksen at the end of his contract. That means Ruben Amorim has fewer options in midfield this season after settling on a pivot consisting of Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro.

Amorim has controversially overlooked Kobbie Mainoo in the process. The 20-year-old has been limited to just 183 minutes in the Premier League this season and has yet to start a game.

Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte hasn’t got any closer to the line-up. The Uruguay international could be playing his final season at Old Trafford unless there’s a significant improvement.

Man Utd eye swoop for Sunderland ace Noah Sadiki

It’s no secret that United are in the market for midfielders.

United failed to sign Carlos Baleba from Brighton in the summer, but they’ve since been linked with moves for Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson.

According to Sky Sports Switzerland journalist Sacha Tavolieri, United are keeping a close eye on Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki.

The 20-year-old, who represents DR Congo on the international stage, has been one of Sunderland’s top performers this season.

Sunderland are ninth in the Premier League table after 15 games, which is an impressive feat for a newly promoted side. That didn’t stop United beating The Black Cats 2-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Sadiki has started in every Premier League game for Sunderland this season, but there are suggestions that he is already attracting attention from top clubs in the league.

Poll: Should Man Utd buy another left wing-back?

It remains to be seen if United will do any business in the winter transfer window.

How did Noah Sadiki perform against Man Utd

Sadiki has only played one game against United since joining Sunderland in the summer.

The young midfielder played the entire game and completed 84% of his passes.
