Manchester United have made it public that they want a new left winger and now links to AC Milan’s Rafael Leao have emerged.
Last month, interim head coach Michael Carrick made it clear that United are targeting a left winger for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Karim Adeyemi has been linked with United as one target, while interest in Yan Diomande is still rumoured.
However, the Daily Mail have now credited United with interest in AC Milan star Rafael Leao ahead of the summer window.

Should Yan Diomande be Man Utd’s top winger target this summer?
Man Utd keeping tabs on Rafael Leao
The report claims that United are one of several Premier League clubs who are monitoring Leao’s position in Milan ahead of the summer.
United have previously scouted Leao as a transfer target back in 2022 as Erik ten Hag wanted to sign Leao as an attacking option.
It adds that Leao could depart Milan for around £60 million this summer, so United now know what it would take to bring the Portuguese star to Old Trafford.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also named as interested clubs, however, so United could face fierce competition for the 26-year-old.

How has Rafael Leao performed this season?
Leao made a slow start to the 2025/26 season as he was on the sidelines nursing a calf injury, but he made an instant impact on his return.
The Portuguese winger has 10 goals across all competitions this season, with nine of those coming in Serie A, where AC Milan sit second behind rivals Inter Milan.

Leao has spent most of his time playing on the left wing, although he has also spent spells playing as a centre-forward to make space for Christian Pulisic to play out wide.
United have also been linked with Pulisic, but it seems Ineos now have their sights set on Leao ahead of the summer.
