Manchester United interested in signing Ben Nelson
Defence is another position United are keen to add to this summer, with Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt not reliable due to their fitness.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire has been injured plenty in recent years, meaning adding some depth would be a wise recruitment decision for United.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Leicester’s Ben Nelson has emerged as a potential target.
Nelson has drawn United’s attention with his performances for relegated Championship side Leicester City.
Standing at 6ft 5in, Nelson will inevitably draw comparisons to Harry Maguire, and at 22, this could be a perfect role model for him if he were to join United this summer.
Enzo Maresca is also a big fan of Nelson, with Man City and Chelsea both scouting him alongside United.
United have been paying attention to Leicester despite their struggles, with Jeremy Monga being linked in recent months, with a £15m offer being rumoured. Additionally, Louis Page has also been reported to swap the King Power for Old Trafford.
Nelson would fit in alongside Ayden Heaven and Leny Yoro as a young centre-back department, as there will be plenty of games to go around.

Manchester United also considering Shea Charles
Like Nelson, United are also weighing up a budget-friendly move to sign Shea Charles from Southampton after their promotion bid was derailed by the spying scandal.
United have been linked to Shea Charles for months, with Jason Wilcox thought to be driving the interest, having worked with him in the Manchester City academy.
Another cheaper, squad player signing considered is Hayden Hackney of Middlesbrough. After losing the play-off final, he seems to be Premier League-bound.
Carrick is a big fan of Hackney, as he brought him through at Boro, and as a third or fourth choice midfielder, United could do a lot worse than the Englishman.
