Archie Gray is on Manchester United’s radar ahead of a big weekend in the Premier League, with Tottenham fighting to stay in the top flight.
Manchester United are drawing up their plans for the summer transfer window after appointing Michael Carrick as permanent head coach.
The position of priority is midfield ahead of Casemiro’s departure. The 34-year-old is close to joining Inter Miami, while United identify their primary options to replace the Brazilian veteran.
United are also eyeing swoops for players who can play in different positions.

Man Utd list Tottenham’s Archie Gray as potential target
Archie Gray is one of the few players at Tottenham this season to come out with any credit.
The 20-year-old has been a silver lining in a Premier League season that sees Tottenham go into their final game not knowing whether they will be playing in the Championship next season as they sit above West Ham in 18th by just a single point.
Gray has played 34 games in all competitions this season, so it would be a huge blow to Tottenham if they were to lose the versatile star this summer.
According to Ben Jacobs, United have an eye on Gray, but right now it’s a distant possibility unless they get relegated on Sunday.
“Archie Gray is another one that they’re keeping an eye on,” Jacobs told The United Stand.
“And again, if Tottenham go down, you never know. There might be a possibility. But Tottenham are well protected because if they are relegated, there’s 50% pay cuts for almost all of their players.”
The Tottenham starlet can play in midfield, at centre-back, and right-back. That means Gray would be a shrewd signing at the right price.
Gray certainly fits the preferred profile of player Ineos want at United, given his age as well as experience in the Premier League.

Archie Gray has an impressive record against Man Utd
Gray has played against United on four occasions.
Three of those games went in Tottenham’s favour, while one ended in defeat.
The biggest game Gray played against United was the 2024 Europa League final, with Tottenham winning 1-0 in Bilbao.
Gray played at right-back when United beat Tottenham 2-0 earlier this year. Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes both got on the scoresheet.
