Manchester United, AC Milan, Napoli and Porto are among the clubs chasing a Serie A winger who has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, according to reports in Italy.

Ruben Amorim has been able to begin the overhaul of the Manchester United first-team squad that he predominantly inherited from Erik ten Hag last November.

The 40-year-old United manager saw his first arrivals to Old Trafford back in the January transfer window with the signings of Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven.

Ruben Amorim has been able to add further squad depth this summer, with the Red Devils adding Matheus Cunha, Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo to the club.

United are still expected to pursue a new striker and a new midfielder before the transfer window slams shut in September, despite their financial limitations.

Amorim is tipped to axe further players from the United squad ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season, with Marcus Rashford already being one high-profile exit.

Man Utd, Napoli, AC Milan and Porto are interested in signing Riccardo Orsolini from Bologna amid Saudi Arabia’s transfer interest

Riccardo Orsolini has now been linked with Manchester United and the 28-year-old Bologna winger impressed for the Italian side in the 2024-25 Serie A season.

The Italy international netted 17 times and registered five assists in 40 matches across all competitions for Serie A outfit Bologna in the previous campaign.

According to il Resto del Carlino, AC Milan have been one club that have ‘sounded him out’ this summer and Porto are also in the same boat as the Serie A side.

The Italian newspaper added that United have ‘also made a call’ about signing Riccardo Orsolini, who is also attracting interest from Serie A champions Napoli.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Qadsiah are believed to have shown interest in the Porto and United-linked Orsolini after the Italian winger’s superb season with Bologna.

Riccardo Orsolini acknowledged that there has been interest in him this summer, but the former Juventus signing intends to remain at Bologna for the 2025-26 campaign.

“Let’s just say that I received some calls from Italian teams and foreign [ones] in recent days,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport last week.

Orsolini added: “We haven’t yet talked about an extension to 2029, for now I was just told to go into pre-season training and get to work. In all honesty, the club has other priorities right now.

“At the end of the day, they are all personal decisions to be respected, but unless something remarkable happens, then I am staying here.”

Orsolini’s contract with Bologna runs until 2027 and il Resto del Carlino claims that the Italian club are ‘not listening’ to any offers for the player this summer.
