This summer could see some of the world’s most talented youngsters arrive at Manchester United.

Ineos are seeking a complete rebuild this summer, with ambitions of making the transfer window a record-breaking one for sales at Manchester United.

It is thought that United are hoping to bring in more than £100m in player sales, which would open up far more avenues to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s side in the transfer market for Ineos.

To counteract the possible departures, United have four priority positions that need strengthening. In order to do this, there is a likelihood that Ineos will continue the trend of signing talented youngsters as opposed to already established names.

Already, several young talents have been linked with the club, as Ineos look to make good on Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s desire to sign the stars of tomorrow.

This summer, the centre of defence is thought to need some additions, with exits for Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof. Now, United have been scouting some top prospects across the globe to replace the two stalwarts who simply aren’t in Amorim’s plans.

Manchester United among Premier League clubs to watch Pietro Comuzzo

With the summer rebuild in mind, United in Focus now understand, after speaking with Graeme Bailey, that Pietro Comuzzo is one young defender the club has been watching.

Comuzzo has starred for Fiorentina this season, and there are a lot of Premier League clubs who like him. He has been watched by most of the top-flight clubs; United in Focus can confirm.

Where there could be a hindrance for United is that Comuzzo is expected to be quite expensive this summer. However, this would be expected for a player who is ‘very highly rated’.

Comuzzo is also attracting interest within Serie A, with Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan all keen on La Viola’s breakout defender who has spent this season playing with David de Gea.

United in Focus understands through Italian sources that there is a firm belief that the 20-year-old Comuzzo will move this summer, however, this will most likely be within the Serie A instead of to the Premier League.

Jason Wilcox also looking into Juanma Herzog this summer

While Comuzzo is a bigger name right now, Jason Wilcox is also looking at several other young central defenders. United in Focus previously revealed that United were looking at an Argentinian pair of defenders.

With United’s ambitions to sign future world-class players, they are doing checks on countless players across the globe, with Las Palmas’ defender Juanma Herzog one option for the Red Devils to consider.

We can confirm United like Herzog, who has enjoyed a breakout year in La Liga for his boyhood club, although he and aforementioned options are all seen as ‘ones for the future’ by Wilcox.

Interestingly, Herzog’s current contract is set to expire in June, which may see United make a swoop if he will be available for free, although Palmas do hold a two-year optional extension which we imagine they will trigger.
