Manchester United have agreed to sign Ayden Heaven from Arsenal this month.
While a deal to sign Patrick Dorgu is expected over the coming days, he may have been beaten to the label of Ruben Amorim’s first signing.
This is because Manchester United have now agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign their 18-year-old centre-back Ayden Heaven.
Heaven had his first brush with United during pre-season, in which Rasmus Hojlund schooled him. However still a teenager, the England U19 international has the potential to become a truly great defender.
This deal sees Ineos repeat a summer coup for Chido Obi.

Ayden Heaven set to join Manchester United
Heaven was at Old Trafford last Thursday to watch United against Rangers, and now less than a week later Fabrizio Romano has given the deal a ‘here we go’.
Heaven is set for his United medical, with the tests booked which will see him join as potentially Amorim’s first signing since taking charge in November.
United beat Frankfurt to the signing as Heaven also rejected a new contract from Arsenal, while Barcelona was also reportedly interested.
It is a signing which has been claimed by Academy Scoop to be for the first-team squad, with Heaven due to compete with and offer a rotational option for Lisandro Martinez.
The addition of Heaven was heralded by United fans on social media after the agreement was reached.

Manchester United fans react to Heaven agreement
With the deal agreed, all that remains is for United to complete the medical and then Heaven will be in training for United.
The news of an agreement to sign another Arsenal talent has led to fans finding it incredible, the pull United have.
One fan wrote: “Manchester United signing two wonderkids of Arsenal in one season is MAD”.
Another was laughing at Arsenal: “Nahhhh we own this team!!”
“Nobody says No to Manchester United, when you’re big you’re big”, one United fan claimed.
While a fourth added: “We really stole Arsenal’s two most talented players in the same season”.
One United supporter who is familiar with Heaven reacted to the deal: “Ayden Heaven is set to be a first-team signing and provide competition for Licha. Big step up for him wow.”
After watching a compilation, another fan was wowed by what he watched: “Okay, this Ayden Heaven kid looks really talented.”
