Manchester United have interest in signing Aurelien Tchouameni from Real Madrid, and this week, his situation has gotten a lot worse.
When it emerged last month that Manchester United want to sign Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer transfer window, it felt far-fetched.
Considered one of the best midfielders in the world, Tchouameni would be a bargain at £70m, which is the reported price tag.
However, this week’s reports from Spain indicate that Tchouameni might be available at a cut-price.

The latest Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde fight should guarantee exit
Real Madrid are on fire right now in all the worst ways, with a squad in turmoil.
Alvaro Carreras was reportedly slapped by Antonio Rudiger, as elsewhere, Kylian Mbappe looks for his escape, while Jude Bellingham is also involved.
But the biggest story is Tchouameni and Federico Valverde fighting in training. This was reported on Wednesday, but already Thursday has seen the situation escalate.
According to RMC Sport, Tchouameni and Valverde’s spat got worse on Thursday, with the Uruguayan being transported to the hospital.
During the skirmish, others got involved in an attempt to separate the two, with Valverde falling and cutting his head, passing out for a few seconds.
Madrid are expected to place sanctions on both players for the incident, just days before an El Clásico at the Camp Nou.
Cadena Ser also reported this, adding that the situation is at a boiling point and the altercation was much worse than the words exchanged earlier this week.

Manchester United should offer Tchouameni an escape route before the World Cup
With the situation at Madrid worsening and only a few weeks left of the season, there is a chance that Tchouameni finds himself pushed further out by the club.
Valverde is the captain of Madrid, and so he won’t be going anywhere. But Tchouameni was already being weighed up for a departure, and so this latest update is good for United.
Due to this, United should be looking to accelerate efforts to sign the Frenchman right now, as his price tag now will be lower than ever.
United can offer Tchouameni an escape route right now, to sign at the start of June and then officially arrive after the World Cup ends.
This deal looks more likely every day at the moment. United needs to capitalise on the situation.
