Manchester United are interested in Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray but have doubts over the logistics of a deal, according to reports.
Kobbie Mainoo has lit up the Premier League for Manchester United in the past two months as his composure and technical ability has made him an instant success at Old Trafford.
The midfield department has been one of big concern for the Red Devils this season with there being a whole host of injury problems in that crucial area of the pitch.
As well as this, players like Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat have failed to impress this season which has led to rumours of another midfielder potentially being targeted in the summer window.

Archie Gray interest
One midfielder who has been linked with the Red Devils recently is Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray. The 17-year-old has looked very promising for the Yorkshire side this season.
According to a report from FootballTransfers, United are indeed interested in the English midfielder but have doubts over the feasibility of the deal due to his connection with the Red Devils’ arch-rivals Leeds.
The report states that Ineos believes he fits the blueprint of what they are looking for when they get their hands on the club with a young, British core said to be key for them moving forward.
There are fears that Gray, whose family have all played for the Yorkshire side in the past, would reject any proposal from the Red Devils which could lead to Liverpool, who also have an interest, being favourites for his signature.
His contract with the Whites is set to expire at the end of next season so the Red Devils could get him for a decent price if the teenage midfielder did agree to the move.
Who is Archie Gray?
A product of the Leeds United academy, Gray has made 25 stats in the EFL Championship this season and has also made two substitute appearances.
He can play in central-midfield but also at right-back and it is this versatility that could make him appealing for Premier League sides.
In recent years, Alan Smith is one of the few players who have decided to move to Old Trafford from Leeds and back in the summer of 2021, Dan James moved to Elland Road from Old Trafford after being told he wouldn’t get much game time at Old Trafford following the arrival of Jadon Sancho.
A move across the divide is rare hence why there is some understandable trepidation with this deal.
