The Italian media claim that Kim Min Jae to Manchester United will be complete in July, with the Red Devils expected to pay his release clause.
The South Korean only signed for Napoli in July 2022 but quickly became one of the star performers as they clinched their first Scudetto title in 33 years.
This has meant he’s attracted the attention of some of the big Premier League clubs. Italian newspaper Il Mattino has reported Manchester United are heavy favourites to sign the South Korean.
The same Italian outlet continue to insist the centre half is Old Trafford-bound, once-again stating that United will trigger the release clause in July.

Kim Min Jae to Manchester United
According to a recent post by Il Mattino, United will pay Kim Min Jae‘s release clause.
The Italian newspaper claimed that the Red Devils will exercise the payment of the release clause when it can be triggered, between July 1 and 15.
United is the English club that has shown the greatest interest so far, but there are also others from the Premier League who have shown their liking for the South Korean defender.
Therefore, the first market operation for Napoli will concern the purchase of a central defender who will replace Kim.
Former South Korean Manchester United legend Ji-Sung Park. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Park described him as ‘extraordinary’.
It looks like Min Jae could be the first in a busy summer for Manchester United. A defender could be ticked off, meaning ten Hag will then look to cop a midfielder and a striker.
A striking option that has been heavily linked is also Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Il Mattino also touched on the situation of the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen is under contract until 2025 and De Laurentiis wants to keep him in Naples. It should be verified whether offers from the top European clubs will arrive this summer, starting with those of the Premier League.
Napoli are also searching for a manager and has the potential to obtain a new director of football, so deals may hold off until then.
