Manchester United are closing in on a move for Polish youngster Hubert Graczyk, according to reports.

Hubert Graczyk is the latest young talent heading to Manchester United, reliable Polish outlet SportoweFatky claim.

The outlet claim Graczyk is ‘very likely’ to join the Red Devils, where he will become the club’s fourth choice goalkeeper.

Graczyk is a free agent after his contract at Arsenal expired. He had previously been in Everton’s academy.

Who is Hubert Gracyzk

Hubert Gracyzk, 21, was born in Poland and represented Everton at academy level before being snapped up by Arsenal in 2017.

He represented England at under-16s, 17s, and 18s levels, where he played in the same starting XI as Manchester United defender Will Fish, and recently departed Shola Shoretire.

Gracyzk later switched to represent Poland at under-19s level.

He plays as a goalkeeper, where he recorded 61 appearances for Arsenal’s under-18s and under-21 teams.

Gracyzk also had a loan spell at non-league side Slough, where he made four first team appearances.

This summer he was released by the Gunners with his contract expired, and no pathway for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Why Manchester United want Hubert Gracyzk

Manchester United want Hubert Graczyk to be the club’s fourth choice goalkeeper this season, the Polish outlet report.

He would compete behind first team goalkeepers Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.

This is a clear indication Radek Vitek will be going on loan, after the Czech youngster impressed during pre-season.

Vitek was loaned to Accrington last season and impressed, and needs regular playing time. At the same time, United want a fourth goalkeeper for depth, and help in training sessions.

At United, he would find a familiar face, former Arsenal youngster Chido Obi-Martin, who made the decision to quit the Gunners, taking his goalscoring talents to Old Trafford.

United have had a Polish goalkeeper before, former international stopper Tomasz Kuszczak.
