Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign Ederson this summer, and now his salary has been reported by outlets in Italy.
Ederson looks increasingly likely to be announced as Manchester United’s first signing of the Michael Carrick era.
Reports have indicated that United are in advanced talks to sign Ederson with a £38m transfer in the works, and it could even be done by the end of this week.
Ederson looks likely to be United’s squad midfield addition, followed by one or two others, including a ready-made starter.
The deal is ticking along nicely, and now his expected wages have been reported.

Ederson thinks highly of his qualities – Which Man Utd player does he remind YOU of?
A physical monster who dominates both boxes. Any past or present Man Utd player comes to mind?
How much Manchester United will pay Ederson
Ederson is as reasonably priced as any first-team midfielder will be in the Premier League this summer.
Arriving as a squad midfielder, Ederson was never going to break the bank, and £38m for a 27-year-old in his prime years is an excellent deal.
Now, Tutto Mercato Web has reported how much Ederson will earn if the deal gets through the final stages.
Ederson’s contract will be until 2030, with the option for a further year.
Financially, Ederson will be earning a reported €5m, or £4.3m, which equals roughly £83,000-per-week for the Atalanta midfielder.
This is roughly where we would have expected Ederson’s wage to fall in comparison with the rest of the squad.
Now, The Times claims a deal will be done by the end of this week, costing £35m and £3m in add-ons.

Would you go big on the midfield, or should United spread out the budget?
Where Ederson ranks among the United squad
Ederson earning £83k-a-week almost guarantees that he is signed as the back-up midfielder, compared with his new teammates.
The Brazilian will be the 16th best-paid player at United if the deal goes through.
- 12th: Manuel Ugarte – £120,000-a-week
- 13th: Leny Yoro – £115,000-a-week
- 14th: Joshua Zirkzee – £105,000-a-week
- 15th: Diogo Dalot – £85,000-a-week
- 16th: Ederson – £83,000-a-week
- 17th: Senne Lammens – £60,000-a-week
It is a sign of Ineos being a lot better in the transfer market when you see the players who he is around in the earnings, particularly Manuel Ugarte, who Ineos also signed, but in their first summer.
Having a player of the quality of Ederson on such a reasonable wage is incredible work. United might even get all three additions this summer, combined, earning less than Casemiro did over his four-season spell at the club.
