Fulham consider move for Rasmus Hojlund, and his former club have sparked their interest

Rasmus Hojlund could leave Manchester United following the signing of Benjamin Sesko.

The 22-year-old Denmark international has been a Manchester United player for two years, but Ruben Amorim is not convinced he can lead the line for another season.

Hojlund scored just 10 goals across all competitions last season and is keen to fight for his place at Old Trafford.

United, who are trying to sell players to raise funds, have made it clear to Hojlund that his game time will be limited following the arrival of Sesko.

Hojlund has attracted fierce interest from AC Milan, but the striker must decide soon if he is willing to leave the Theatre of Dreams, as he remains under contract.

AC Milan are not the only club that has been linked with a summer swoop for Hojlund.

Reports claim the Serie A giants offered a £4.5 million loan fee with an option to buy for £39 million.

Other Italian clubs include Inter Milan and Roma, but none of them have persuaded Hojlund yet.

The latest reports suggest Hojlund may get the chance to remain in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Fulham are weighing up a move for Hojlund as Rodrigo Muniz is the subject of bids from Atalanta – the Dane’s former club.

The report adds that the Cottagers would need to know Hojlund wants to come before making a suitable offer to United, so this may be one to watch over the coming weeks as we get closer to transfer deadline day.

United are eager to sell Hojlund as Ineos still want to add a midfielder and possibly a goalkeeper to Amorim’s squad.

Since arriving at Old Trafford two years ago, Hojlund has managed to score just 14 goals in the Premier League.

That’s a poor return when you consider United fans will be expecting that many – if not more – from new signing Sesko this term.

A move to another Premier League club like Fulham would give Hojlund the chance to prove his critics wrong.

The Dane already proved himself in Italy before struggling in England.
