Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is heading towards an exit from the club with talks ongoing.
Facundo Pellistri‘s time at Manchester United appears to be coming to an end, with the winger on the verge of a move to Greek club Panathinaikos.
Pellistri was not named in the Manchester United matchday squad to face Fulham in the Premier League opener.
Panathinaikos see Pellistri as a player who can make an immediate impact for their team and also turn a profit in the future.

Panathinaikos bid for Pellistri – Details
Panathinaikos have been tracking Facundo Pellistri for weeks and they have now made a ‘final offer’ to Manchester United, report Greek outlet Sportime.
The offer is the ‘best offer’ Panathinaikos can afford and they are optimistic an agreement will be reached.
- £6m guaranteed
- £1.7m add-ons
- 30 per cent sell-on clause
The report adds Manchester United had been demanding a 50 per cent sell-on clause when negotiations began.
It has subsequently been claimed the sell-on fee could be more like 40 per cent.
The fee will recover the fee Manchester United paid to Penarol for Pellistri in 2020.
It does seem low for a regular Uruguay international, but is also offset by the fact Pellistri’s contract is due to expire in 2025, and the sell-on fee allows for future income for United.
Pellistri could thrive in Greece
Panathinaikos are a club Manchester United should have sent Pellistri out on loan to, during his time at Old Trafford.
The Greek Super League is a lower standard than Spain’s La Liga, where Pellistri spent three separate loan spells.
And unlike Alaves and Granada, two relegation battling teams where Pellistri spent time, Panathinaikos are one of the top teams in the division, finishing fourth last season.
This means Pellistri should see plenty of the ball, able to make a positive impact and show his quality, which proved tough during loan spells at two of the worst teams in Spain’s top flight.
