Matic wanted to return to England over the summer but could now find himself in a title race in Italy, but may be faced with a tough call on whether to join Fiorentina or Napoli.
Matic could join David De Gea or Scott McTominay
A move back to Italy could appeal to Matic after his time at Roma and he would be reuniting with a former United teammate with either potential move.
Fiorentina signed David De Gea over the summer, handing the goalkeeper a return to football after more than a year out of the game.
De Gea has impressed this season and would no doubt tell Matic of how a move to Florence has been a breath of fresh air for him.
