This follows a campaign in which Dalot has been brilliant for United, earning him admirers outside of Old Trafford.

Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho target Diogo Dalot move
With Jose Mourinho set to take charge at Real Madrid, there was a suggestion that Dalot could be targeted.
Now, United in Focus can confirm this interest from Los Blancos in signing Dalot this summer.
Mourinho has always rated Dalot highly, dating back to when he brought the Portuguese full-back to United from Porto in 2018.
However, despite this interest from Spain, sources tell United in Focus that Dalot is 100% focused on United with complete commitment to the club right now.
This follows a suggestion that United were ready to open contract talks with Dalot ahead of his current deal expiry in 2028.
Madrid’s interest could push this along, as the club will want to tie him down, given the importance he has to Carrick.

Mourinho has always praised Dalot since bringing him to Manchester United
Mourinho is known to be a supporter of Dalot, having heaped praise on the right-back countless times when the pair worked together at United.
After one of Dalot’s early performances, speaking to club media, Mourinho hailed Dalot.
“Everybody knows that he has fantastic potential.
“I don’t want to compare, especially not the number of titles but he is probably the same age as Gary Neville when he came into the first team. Probably he can follow Neville in this dynamic of more than 10 years as United’s right-back, with amazing conditions to improve, because as I was saying, he’s 19 years old.”
In further praise when Dalot joined, Mourinho told BBC Sport that the teenager was one of the best in the world for his age.
“In his age group, he is the best full-back in Europe. He is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club.
“He has all the attributes that a full-back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level.”
It didn’t come through immediately for Dalot, but now these comments look prophetic as Dalot has become one of the best in his position in the league.
