David De Gea is wanted by Inter Miami as David Beckham eyes up a swoop for the former Manchester United goalkeeper.
United fans would be forgiven for feeling a little baffled by David De Gea’s current situation.
The Spaniard came to the end of his United contract at the end of last season and was allowed to leave for nothing.
United did think about keeping De Gea but pulled out of a new contract, eventually securing the signing of Andre Onana as a replacement.
We are now approaching December and De Gea still doesn’t have a new club, going from a potential new United deal to not even playing.
David De Gea wanted by Inter Miami
Reports in Spain earlier this month suggested that De Gea was close to signing for La Liga side Real Betis.
That deal hasn’t materialised though and De Gea could end up in the United States.
The Daily Star claim that Inter Miami are now offering De Gea a route back into football.
It’s stated that Betis are still interested, as are Valencia, but a move to Major League Soccer is now under consideration.
The report claims that Inter Miami president and United legend David Beckham is ‘quietly optimistic’ that De Gea will give real thought to the move.

De Gea may be attracted by Lionel Messi link-up
We could hardly blame De Gea for fancying the move to Florida.
The weather and the lifestyle will certainly appeal, as will playing with Lionel Messi.
The Argentinian icon has been enjoying himself with Inter Miami, even seeing former Barcelona teammates Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets join him.
Alba and Busquets know De Gea well from Spain international duty, and the former United stopper may believe that he can enjoy some success across the pond.
We would still love to see De Gea in European action but the 33-year-old may want to try something new in Major League Soccer.
