Confirmed: Four more Manchester United youngsters depart on loan on deadline day

Manchester United have just sent four more players on loan on deadline day.

It’s been a busy January of outgoings for Manchester United. In particular, loan deals have been popular for Erik ten Hag.

There have been 14 of them to be exact, spanning from academy talent to the likes of first-team stars such as Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek.

We can now push that number up to 18, with four more youngsters having been confirmed to depart on deadline day.

Tom Wooster – Macclesfield

Macclesfield FC have confirmed to the loan signing of goalkeeper Tom Wooster from Manchester United.

The 18-year-old joins until the end of the season as part of an innovative loan scheme with The Reds.

Sam Mather and Sam Murray – Rochdale

Rochdale have confirmed that Manchester United Under-21 players Sam Mather and Sam Murray have joined Dale until the end of the season.

The Red Devils academy players have linked up with Jimmy McNulty’s side as part of an innovative loan scheme designed by United’s Academy coaches.

Sonny Aljofree – Altrincham

Altrincham announced Sonny Aljofree has joined on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old has been a mainstay of United’s under-21 side in 2023/24, making 10 appearances for the Red Devils in Premier League 2 as well as playing twice in the EFL Trophy.
