The arrival of Chido Obi-Martin to Manchester United seems closer than ever, and now the player himself has dropped a massive hint.
One of the biggest talents in the country could soon be donning the famous red of Manchester United with Chido Obi-Martin already confirmed to have departed Arsenal.
He announced his exit from the London club yesterday, although it has been known for some time that the 16-year-old was headed for the exit doors.
His arrival would be a serious statement for United, poaching arguably a potential world-beater from a massive rival in Arsenal.
Now, the teenage striker has dropped the biggest hint yet that Old Trafford is his destination this summer.

Chido Obi-Martin drops massive hint that he’s joining Manchester United
As we patiently await confirmation of Chido Obi’s next club, the striker himself might have just confirmed that he’ll be joining the Red Devils.
Under his farewell post on Instagram to Arsenal, Chido Obi liked multiple messages which supported him amid plenty of abuse from Arsenal fans who weren’t happy to see him go.
But he also liked one comment related to United from user ‘christianlang1976’.
“You’re a star, I’m looking forward to seeing you bomb goals for United. All the best champ!”, is how the reply read with Chido Obi liking it.
The comment appeared to have originally been in Danish too which will only add to the speculation around his potential move.
With this hint, it’d be fairly safe to consider that United have won the race for Chido Obi, something which is extremely exciting.
Ineos will have promised Chido Obi a first-team pathway
While Chido Obi will go down as an academy signing, the fact United have managed to sign him ahead of Bayern Munich, Arsenal and more must mean he sees here as the clearest route to first-team football.
We imagine this is something which will have been negotiated with a plan in place with Chido Obi far too talented to sign and leave sitting in the academy for years.
So this combined with the serious levels of talent that Chido Obi has could mean we see him in the first team picture this team next year, on the pre-season tour but it could even come before that.
Let’s hope we find out soon if he’s officially joining, but for now, it appears he will be a United forward very soon.
