Manchester United are getting closer to signing Benjamin Sesko but it is still not yet a done deal.
Ineos will be growing in confidence about their chances of bringing Benjamin Sesko to Manchester United this summer, but lots can change in the transfer market.
United bid £73m for Benjamin Sesko on Tuesday morning, with club insiders confident that the 22-year-old Slovenian wanted to move to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have been going head-to-head with Newcastle United for Sesko’s signature, and their bid is actually worth more than United’s.
However, Sesko wants to join United, and now Ineos can move onto finalising a deal for the young striker.

RB Leipzig are yet to accept Man United’s Benjamin Sesko bid
Transfer expert David Ornstein believes United are close to Sesko after Ineos submitted their bid.
Sesko’s personal terms are not an issue, with the Slovenian pushing to move to Manchester over Newcastle this summer.
However, Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft, who has followed the Sesko saga closely, believes there is one hurdle remaining that could cause United to miss out.
He explains that Newcastle’s bid for Sesko has been accepted by RB Leipzig, while United’s is yet to be accepted.
Therefore, Leipzig could demand that United match Newcastle’s bid or “risk losing the player” this summer.
Man United have already improved Benjamin Sesko offer
The last thing Ineos will want now is to let the Sesko deal slip through their fingers.
As mentioned above, Leipzig could drag out the transfer if they demand that United match Newcastle’s bid, but it seems the Red Devils have already taken action to avoid that situation.
According to Florian Plettenberg, United have now improved their offer for Sesko, offering a new structure which includes a fixed fee of £69m (€80m).
Plettenberg adds that United’s bid still is yet to be accepted by Leipzig, but it is much closer to Newcastle’s offer, which suggests it should be enough to get a deal over the line.
Sesko has been tipped to join United, and it seems it is only a matter of time until Ineos secure the Slovenian as the fourth signing of the summer.
