Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes faces a huge decision over his future.

After the worst Premier League season in club history, Ineos are planning a summer overhaul at Manchester United with many players expected to leave.

Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are all headed for the exit, while three United players have already departed to kickstart the rebuild.

In order to raise funds and balance the books, United may have to bid farewell to more key players with Al-Hilal willing to pay £100m for Bruno Fernandes this summer.

Ruben Amorim is desperate to keep Fernandes, but a nine-figure offer will prove difficult to turn down.

Ruben Neves recommends Al-Hilal move to Bruno Fernandes

Worrying reports claim Fernandes’ agent has agreed terms with Al-Hilal, with the 30-year-old still considering his options.

As negotiations continue over a potential move, Bruno Fernandes‘ Portuguese teammate Ruben Neves has recommended that he completes the move.

As quoted by DesportoAoMinuto, Neves said: “Bruno Fernandes at Al Hilal? I would recommend any player in the national team.

“We have produced a lot of talent. We are lucky in that respect. A small country, but with excellent players, just yesterday four of them won the Champions League.

“That makes any child dream. I would like to have any player from the national team in my team”.

Neves made a £47 million move from Wolves to Al-Hilal in 2023, and he is now hoping his compatriot Fernandes follows a similar path.

Man United cannot afford to lose Bruno Fernandes

Fernandes was named United’s Player of the Year for the 2024/25 campaign and frankly it wasn’t even up for debate.

Without the Portuguese maestro, it is easy to argue that United could have found themselves in a relegation fight.

United fans want Fernandes to stay, and Ineos would have to go against Amorim’s wishes if they did decide to cash in on him.

With such huge pressure on Amorim and Ineos to perform this season, it would be an extremely bold and risky move to sell Fernandes this summer.

While a £100 million fee would go a long way in rebuilding the squad, Fernandes is simply irreplaceable at Old Trafford given what he offers both on and off the pitch.
