A Bayern Munich star who has been linked with Manchester United will ‘consider all options’ in the summer transfer window, according to his advisor.

The summer may be months off but you can bet Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team are already drafting up recruitment plans.

Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group completed the purchase of 27.7 per cent of Manchester United’s class A shares on Tuesday and have now taken over football operations.

It’s bound to be an exciting summer and there are going to be plenty of great players linked with a move to Old Trafford.

One such player is Bayern Munich starlet Mathys Tel and it looks like he could be on the move.

Mathys Tel will consider all options

Despite being one of Bayern’s most promising prospects, Tel is contemplating his future in Germany due to a lack of playing time this season.

The 18-year-old has made just one start in the Bundesliga and his advisor, Gadiri Camara, has said nothing is off the table.

He told SportBild: “Sometimes you just have to have the feeling that you are on the same path.

“We’ll see very soon, but I’m confident. But if not, we have to consider all options because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player.”

The report from SportBild goes on to say that United have ‘put out feelers’ to Tel and that a switch to the Premier League could ‘appeal’ to the Frenchman.

It’s added that Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have also shown interest and that the prospect of leaving the Allianz Arena is no longer a ‘taboo topic.’

However, Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of the season could lead to more game time for Tel at Bayern.

A good option for Manchester United

Tel certainly seems to have sky-high potential. Despite his limited game time, he has still managed 10 goal contributions this season in addition to his six strikes last term.

Though predominantly a left-winger, the versatile forward can play up-front or on either flank which would offer useful flexibility to Erik ten Hag.

However, Tel is contracted until 2027 and there is no way Bayern would let one of their prized assets go on the cheap – if at all.

United are well-stocked in attacking areas and would be better served concentrating on more pressing positions in the summer.
