Bradley Barcola should join Aurelien Tchouameni on midfield shortlist
Tchouameni’s second half against Senegal was top class, and he proved that if made available by Real Madrid, United can’t afford to pass up on the chance to sign him.
But while he shone in the midfield, Bradley Barcola came off the bench to have an electric impact.
Barcola’s lightning pace was frightening, and he used it to excellent effect as he latched onto a ball in behind to chip the goalkeeper and score a really good goal.
Often, the criticisms put against Barcola is his finishing or lack of composure in the final third, but here, on the world stage, he showed plenty of it.
Running at high speed, he had the composure to lift the ball over the goalkeeper to put France further ahead.
Barcola was a huge improvement on Desire Doue, and this performance should have clubs queuing up to sign him from PSG this summer. Arsenal want to sign him, but United should also be making enquiries right now.

Barcola was a menace off the bench for France with his pace and quality, and a deal to sign him feels so obvious. Assuming PSG will sell to fund their Yan Diomande move.
United have been linked with a £50m Crysencio Summerville move, and while he is a huge talent and will get better at United, Barcola is potentially an entirely different level altogether.
Barcola would arrive with a winning mentality and culture ingrained in him from PSG, but also a player who will have a chip on his shoulder and will be desperate to prove a point out of the shadow of his current star-studded attacking teammates.
The Frenchman can beat defenders with his silky skills and dribbling, and also blistering pace, while the goal shows that there is also a lethal goal scorer in there. He just needs to be unleashed.
