£64m striker was linked to Man United, now he could end Jadon Sancho transfer saga with latest move

Jadon Sancho continues to be a thorn in the side of Manchester United’s summer transfer plans.

Manchester United hoped they saw the last of the 25-year-old winger when he was sent on loan last season, but Jadon Sancho’s permanent move to Chelsea collapsed.

United fans want Sancho’s deal terminated after learning that he refused to accept a wage cut from his current £325,000 per week deal.

Ineos are desperately trying to offload him but Juventus are hesitant to pay Sancho’s wages, meaning a move to Italy is now also looking unlikely.

Sancho was attracting interest from Fenerbahce, but it seems the Turkish side have moved on to another big-money deal.

Fenerbahce interest in Jhon Duran could end Jadon Sancho saga

There has been growing optimism about a deal amid reports that Sancho accepted Fenerbahce’s wage offer, but the rumours have gone quiet and now their full focus is on Jhon Duran.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahce are in “advanced” talks to sign former Aston Villa striker Duran this summer.

Duran joined Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr for a £64m transfer fee in January, but his time playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo is already over.

United were linked with Duran over the winter with Amorim urging Ineos to add extra firepower to his squad. Six months later, he is set to join up with Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho has praised Sancho previously, so United were hopeful that their former manager might take him off their hands this summer, but a deal for Duran will likely eat up most of their summer budget.

Jadon Sancho needs Man United exit desperately

With only one year remaining on Jadon Sancho’s contract, Ineos will be desperate to sell the winger this summer and at least recoup some of the club’s investment.

But every club knows that the relationship between United and the player is frosty after Sancho’s “freedom” remark last season.

United’s £25m asking price for Sancho isn’t an issue, but he will have to accept a pay cut to leave. If he doesn’t, he will be throwing his career away.

There is no way back for Sancho at United, with Amorim ready to cut Sancho from the tour squad if he stays put in Manchester.

It’s in his best interest to find a new club this summer, but so far he is being extremely problematic.
