Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a Manchester United target Mohammed Kudus will be joining a Premier League rival instead.

The Ghanaian has been on the radar of Manchester United since Erik ten Hag arrived, given his relationship with the forward during their days at Ajax.

The rumours resurfaced this window, with Sky Sports reporting that Manchester United were interested once again, along with a host of other Premier League sides including Chelsea and Arsenal.

But it was none of this trio who secured the young forward’s signature, with another top-flight club swooping in instead.

Mohammed Kudus to sign for West Ham

As confirmed by the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano via a ‘here we go!’, Kudus is on the verge of putting pen to paper with the Hammers.

The Ajax man successfully completed his medical, giving the club the green light to make the deal official.

He will sign a contract until 2028, plus an option to extend a year. This is to be signed on Sunday.

West Ham are getting a really exciting talent. He recently featured in his last-ever game for the Dutch side and rounded it off in style – bagging a hat-trick against Ludogorets.

This begs the question… did United pry away the right man from the Eredivisie club?

Kudus… better than Antony?

One player that’s really come under fire thus far this season is Antony. Since his arrival from Ajax, he really hasn’t lived up to his price tag.

It’s kind of a make-or-break season for the Brazilian this time around, having had more than enough time to settle into English football.

This begs the question – did United sign the wrong Ajax forward? Former Dutch icon Marco van Basten seems to think so, with him claiming he’s ‘better than Antony‘.

Only time will tell as to whether Kudus will tear it up in the Premier League. However, it does look like a great signing for David Moyes’ side.
