Erik ten Hag’s side arguably need three signings before the transfer window closes this Friday, whether this happens remains to be seen.
One player who the fans have been clamouring for is Sofyan Amrabat, the Moroccan midfielder is of interest to United, that much is clear.
What isn’t clear is how far United are willing to go to sign the former Utrecht midfielder.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it seems United aren’t willing to go that far for the 26-year-old.

What does the report say
According to the report, Amrabat’s representatives are becoming agitated about just how long they are being made to wait for Erik ten Hag’s side to come in for their client.
It seems the rather over-the-top rumours from Italy have been overblown, shock. It seems United have interest but are struggling to move players on.
The report also states that Amrabat may well begin to change his tune about moving to Old Trafford and explore other options.
MORE UNITED STORIES
The Moroccan midfielder was superb in the 2022 World Cup as the African nation reached the semi-final of the competition in thrilling circumstances.
Ten Hag clearly had a big impact on his career during the Dutchman’s days at FC Utrecht and it seems a reunion appeals to Amrabat.
Other midfield targets
United have seemingly been offered Tottenham Hotspur outcast Pierre Emile-Hojberg, although that seems more agent talk than credible interest.
One thing is clear, United need a midfielder before the window slams shut next Friday. There seems to be an air of desperation around United’s pursuit of a left-back following Luke Shaw’s injury, but their pursuit of a midfielder has been perhaps just as scattergun.
After targeting Amrabat, there has been links to Everton’s Amadou Onana, Khepren Thuram, and now Spurs’ Hojberg is seemingly a target.
The question around Amrabat has always been whether Ten Hag’s side could offload a midfielder to bring another in but it now seems like they can’t.
