Thousands of Manchester United fans have gathered to display anger against the Glazer ownership ahead of today’s clash with Liverpool.
A protest movement against the owners was initially re-sparked by the club’s attempt to join a Super League, but the real reason for the frustration lies far deeper than that.
Over the past 16 years there has been no communication from United’s owners, no improvement to Old Trafford, and their own money has not been put into improving the team, while City are pulling away.
The club is in dangerous levels of debt, which is increasing year on year.

Today’s protest was backed and by the Manchester United Supporter’s Trust (MUST).
Fans protested outside the team hotel, outside and inside Old Trafford, and all around the surrounding areas. You can see pictures and videos below…
More than 100,000 supporters have signed a petition calling for Government to introduce a new model of fan ownership to football clubs.
Last weekend a smaller scale but still sizeable protest was held outside Old Trafford.
A plane was then flown overhead the following day as United prepared to take on Leeds, with a clear message against the Glazer ownership.
United fans had earlier protested outside Carrington, days after the Super League was cancelled.
