Sir Dave Brailsford is set to be at Manchester United’s Carrington training base on Monday, according to reports.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s 25 per cent purchase of Manchester United looks set to be confirmed this week after nearly a year of speculation.
Ratcliffe will make the sporting decisions at Old Trafford with the Glazer family reportedly taking a backseat and making the commercial decisions at the club, according to the Daily Mail.
A three-man board would be created as a result. Joel Glazer, Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford will be the figureheads and the footballing decisions will need to be agreed upon between this trio in the future.

Brailsford at Carrington
According to a report from the Daily Star, Brailsford will be at the club’s Carrington training base on Monday to meet staff and those players not on international duty.
The former British Cycling supremo will take a new role that will see him be in charge of elite performance. Brailsford will look to conduct an overhaul of the training methods as the current injury crisis continues to take hold with two more United stars suffering injuries last weekend.
The hope was that Ineos would be able to announce their £1.5 billion investment into the club today but due to Sir Bobby Charlton’s funeral, they have agreed to push back the announcement out of respect for the club according to the report.
Brailsford profiled
Brailsford, 59, was formerly performance director of British Cycling and is currently team principal of UCI WorldTeam Ineos Grenadiers but is now overseeing the footballing operations at French side OGC Nice.
Nice are currently second in the Ligue 1 table with seven clean sheets in a row, so clearly the changes being made behind the scenes are working.
The hope will be that alongside Ratcliffe, Brailsford would make the correct decisions at Old Trafford which could propel them back to the summit of English football.
