Manchester United played arguably their best game under Ruben Amorim against Bournemouth, and what is to come should leave fans salivating.
The 4-1 win against Bournemouth was more like it, after Man Utd dominated West Ham similarly in the previous game but didn’t score as many.
Rasmus Hojlund was back amongst the goals, Ethan Williams got his first in a Man Utd shirt, and there were imperious contributions from Patrick Dorgu, among others.
The biggest positive is that all of this came without either Matheus Cunha or Bryan Mbeumo on the field, and with Benjamin Sesko a priority target now, one moment showed how devastating all of it can be.

Sections of Man Utd fans are doubtful about the wisdom of going for Sesko over a more sure thing like Ollie Watkins.
Clearly, Vivell holds sway at Old Trafford, and Sesko’s potential has outweighed the few years of service Watkins might be able to provide at a premium.
If the game against Bournemouth was any indication, however, choosing Sesko over Watkins could end up being an inspired decision.
No moment summed up that feeling more than Rasmus Hojlund’s first goal, where he rose in acres of space in the box to head home Dorgu’s cross.
United are finding Hojlund quickly this season in a tactical instruction by Amorim. It stands in stark contrast to the lonely outings he was having last season.
Sesko, who stands at 6’5″, is a man mountain of a striker who jumps like Cristiano Ronaldo and has a bullet header in him.
If United are going to start going more direct to find the striker, via either crosses or cut-backs, then Sesko can be devastating, since anticipatory finishing and heading are two of his biggest strengths.
Sesko unlikely to be Rasmus Hojlund 2.0
It is a valid worry that Sesko might turn out to be Hojlund 2.0 if it doesn’t work out, but the circumstances surrounding the two players are extremely different.
Hojlund had played less than 20 games for Atalanta by the time United came calling, and his goals in a top-five league till that point are exceeded by Sesko’s total last season alone.
Clearly, despite being of a similar age profile, Sesko comes with a lot more top-level pedigree, with the potential to be even better.
It is notable that the team has looked more drilled and cohesive in the three pre-season games so far, and that has had a knock-on effect on Hojlund’s performances as well.
If Hojlund can look rejuvenated after such a poor season just because of the team playing well, then the prospect of a more polished striker who is suited to Amorim’s style of play should be salivating.
Sesko is that player.
