Captain Bruno Fernandes starred against Wolves, but the Portuguese playmaker will be sidelined with a hamstring injury for the final match of 2025.

United played well without Fernandes in the recent 1-0 win over Newcastle United, but Ruben Amorim has several other absences to dance around for the Wolves match, including a concern over Mason Mount.

Like Fernandes against Aston Villa, Mount came off at half-time against Newcastle after feeling a strain during the match.

Amorim gave an update on Mount after full-time against Newcastle, revealing that he wanted to play in the second half but was taken off as a precaution.

Mount has drastically improved in 2025 under Amorim and has quickly become a key player. He will be a huge miss if he has to sit out of the Wolves clash.

Kobbie Mainoo also faces a race to be fit for the clash, as well as defenders Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt.

Mason Mount was at his best against Wolves

One of Mount’s best games in a United shirt came in the win against Wolves earlier this month.

Amorim raved about Mount’s performance at Molineux after he scored United’s third goal of the match and put in a near-flawless display.

United’s record without Mount is concerning, so Amorim will have his fingers crossed that the 26-year-old is fit and available for Wolves’ visit.
