Matheus Cunha is living the ‘dream’ after becoming a Manchester United player in the summer.
Although it hasn’t been the best of starts to a season for Manchester United, there is reason to be optimistic.
After United’s 4-2 win over Brighton, United are on a three-match win streak for the first time under Ruben Amorim. This run has eased some of the pressure on United’s head coach, but there’s still a lot more work to do at Old Trafford.
United welcomed five new signings in the summer, including Bryan Mbeumo, who already has five goals to his name.
Mbeumo has hit the ground running, but the same could be said for Matheus Cunha. It helps that they arrived with Premier League experience.
However, all of the new signings are still familiarising themselves with their new surroundings.
Cunha is loving every minute of it.

Matheus Cunha adjusting to life quickly at Man Utd
Although Cunha had to wait until last week’s win over Brighton to score his first goal for United, the Brazil international has won over fans with his performances and character on the pitch.
It looks like Cunha has finally found his club, earning comparisons to Eric Cantona, and starring in a crucial 2-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield.
Cunha was a star at Wolves but it always felt like he would eventually end up at a bigger club. Now, he is at the biggest following a summer transfer to United.
Taking to Instagram, Cunha shares a series of photos of life in general, with plenty of references to United.
Cunha wrote: “Knowing where you come from makes you live what you always dreamed of.”
Amorim has demanded more from Cunha in terms of consistency because he knows how important he can be for United.
It feels like a match in heaven.
Opinion: Matheus Cunha will score more goals
It’s only a matter of time before Cunha adds to his goal tally, but fans should be encouraged by early signs as he looks like a player who belongs at United.
In a poor Wolves side last season, Cunha scored 17 goals and registered six assists.
Once he settles and adapts fully to Amorim’s side and forms striking partnerships with his new teammates, Cunha will have more goals to his name.
The Brazilian is already a threat to opposing teams, like Mbeumo, and keeping both players quiet will be a challenge too big for most teams.
Especially once Mbeumo and Cunha are fully settled.
