Mount’s cameo was short but sweet, and he did enough to offer hope that he can still turn things around.
As per SofaScore, Mount earned a 7/10 rating for his substitute cameo and a deep dive into his statistics shows just how impactful he was.
- 100% pass accuracy
- 100% dribbles completed
- 100% duels won

Mason Mount will have one last chance in 2026/27
It seems likely that Mount will be sticking around in 2026/27 as it would be difficult to find a buyer for the England midfielder given his current wages.
The reality is that every manager has loved working with Mount, and United’s No.7 has shown glimpses of promise when he is available.
That is the big factor, if Mount is available.

Mount’s injury record has been poor, and he must hope to follow in the footsteps of his good friend Luke Shaw. Shaw bounced back from his injury issues and has been everpresent for the Red Devils this season.
A good pre-season could set up Mount for a strong 2026/27 season where United will need more strength in depth.
