Manchester United had ‘held discussions’ over the weekend for one Premier League talent who has been linked with Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, according to stunning reports.
Ruben Amorim has already seen new arrivals come through the doors at Old Trafford this summer, with Manchester United signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
Following United’s £62.5m deal for ex-Wolves ace Matheus Cunha in June, Paraguayan wonderkid Diego Leon became part of Ruben Amorim’s squad in July.
The Red Devils completed another major summer signing acquisition earlier this week ahead of the United States leg of the pre-season tour for Amorim and Co.
Joining Cunha and Leon at Old Trafford this summer is Bryan Mbeumo, who was a key target for United this summer and he was landed from Brentford on Monday.
Bryan Mbeumo has been United’s most expensive transfer of the summer window so far, with the Red Devils agreeing a deal worth up to £71m for the ex-Brentford star.

Man Utd’s interest in Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez continues amid the uncertainty around the World Cup winner’s future
Manchester United have been linked with signing a new shot-stopper this summer and Aston Villa star Emiliano Martinez has emerged on the transfer radar.
Emiliano Martinez had been tipped to leave Villa Park at the end of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign and the Argentine has attracted interest from clubs.
The 32-year-old Argentina international is under contract with the Premier League club until 2029 and Martinez has been a key player for Aston Villa boss Unai Emery.
Villa have been open to selling Martinez amid their financial woes and ESPN reported in June that both Atletico Madrid and AC Milan were interested in the United target.
The Daily Mail now reports that United have ‘held discussions’ on the weekend about potentially bringing Atletico Madrid and AC Milan-linked Martinez to Old Trafford.

Emiliano Martinez has been subject to United interest and the 2022 World Cup winner has also attracted the attention of clubs in Turkey and the Saudi Pro League.
However, it is believed that the former Arsenal player is keen on remaining in England and would be open to a move to United to play under Ruben Amorim.
Villa are believed to be holding out for a firm asking price of £40m for Martinez and The Daily Mail claims that it is ‘open to debate’ over whether United pay that price.
According to the newspaper, the ‘situation’ around Martinez is now ‘expected to play out over the coming weeks’ amid the uncertainty around the Villa star’s future.
The Red Devils are keen to reinforce other key areas of Amorim’s United first-team squad, including signing a new midfielder and a new striker this summer.
It would make sense for United to walk away from the £40m asking price for Martinez and explore other cheaper options like Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens.
