While we still have a World Cup to get through, the fixture list dropping means the build-up to Manchester United’s 2026/27 campaign will now begin at pace.
The Manchester United fixture list was announced on Friday, with the schedule subject to change, with Champions League and cup fixtures to be added in.
Unlike last season, United have a favourable start to the season, meeting Hull City away and Ipswich Town at home to kick off the campaign.
Then it is a trip to Everton, before a home Manchester derby.
With United’s full Premier League fixture list revealed, here are five things we have taken from the list.
Man Utd’s Premier League fixtures for 2026/27 have now been CONFIRMED – What do you think?

Michael Carrick could get off to a golden start
Manchester United haven’t started the Premier League season with back to back wins since 2017 under Jose Mourinho when Romelu Lukaku spearheaded a 4-0 win over West Ham and then a victory over Swansea.
But Michael Carrick has a huge opportunity in the 2026/27 campaign to put United top of the league in the opening weeks with two newly promoted sides in the first two game weeks.
- Hull City (A)
- Ipswich Town (H)
Winning both comfortably gives United momentum for the rest of the season and Carrick simply has to win these games to start off the season as he means to go on.

United’s toughest early run comes after international break
The fixture list could still change, but as of now, October and November are the toughest it will get for United.
This is after the long international break from September 19th to October 10th.
Following this break United will be tested with fixture conjestion and a tough run.
- 10th October: Tottenham Hotspur (H)
- 17th October: Leeds United (A)
- 24th October: Bournemouth (H)
- 31st October: Chelsea (A)
- 7th November: Aston Villa (H)
- 21st November: Liverpool (A)
- 28th November: Brentford (H)
January will make or break United’s season
Ineos believe that the title is winnable, or at least more so than it has been for years, and a possible title charge will be won or lost in January.
United have a tough run with Brighton, Newcastle, Villa, Liverpool and Brentford all in January and then Chelsea, Brighton and Arsenal in February.
If United are within touching distance at Christmas, this gauntlet will decide if Carrick really has the Red Devils in contention come the run in.
Manchester United have a comfortable run in
While we aren’t sure who the best of the rest will be yet, the current perceptions of the clubs in the league sees the run in look pretty comfortable.
United don’t play any of the top five in their final eight games, with Bournemouth and Crystal Palace the only sides with European football.
It also includes the three newly promoted sides.
If United’s title race becomes reality, it would be hard to see a more favourable run in for Carrick.
Ineos need to get a move on with transfers
We knew it was coming, but the list and how close it all is to kicking off proves United need to get a move on and complete some transfers.
United’s fixture list already sees a packed schedule, with eight Champions League games and cup rounds to be added in, a deep squad will be needed.
A deal for Ederson has been agreed, but United need at least four or five more additions.
