Erik ten Hag looks to be on thin ice now, with his side slipping up vs Chelsea in a 4-3 loss, but one player will be livid with him.

Stamford Bridge played host to one of the most exciting games of football we’ve been blessed with in recent years.

Manchester United came back from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, before handing Chelsea two easy goals in added time, which ended up with Erik ten Hag‘s side losing 4-3.

Both the Chelsea equaliser and winner game post 100th minute which is a ridiculous capitulation for United.

Football can be a cruel game.

But in the game, one player will be feeling particularly hard done by, and likely fuming with Ten Hag.

Amad Diallo will be left furious with Erik ten Hag

Ahead of the game, many assumed and hoped that Amad Diallo would be given a chance in the team due to his heroics against Liverpool.

However, upon his return from his suspension, he was placed on the bench.

This was fine, but what wasn’t, was the fact he was left there the entire game when he’d earned the right to at least get another cameo display.

While it’s hard to argue he should’ve replaced either Antony or Alejandro Garnacho who were both class, he deserves so much more than what he is getting right now.

Against Liverpool, he handed Ten Hag probably the highest point of the campaign with the winning goal in that 4-3 win.

So for Ten Hag not to use him at all on Thursday, feels like a real lack of respect and we can’t imagine Amad isn’t furious.

Ten Hag has done this all season to Manchester United players

While it’s frustrating that a player like Amad is being underutilised, it isn’t surprising given how Ten Hag has treated players this season.

Outside of his favourites who can do no wrong, it seems impossible for players, such as the likes of Hannibal Mejbri or Amad to break into the starting line-up regularly.

Earlier this season, Hannibal was a revelation but he was dropped so quickly and wasn’t seen again after a bad display or two, which is crazy considering how bad the entire team have been.

At this rate, it’s hard to see Amad wanting to stay beyond this season, but there is time yet for him to be handed more game-time to keep him happy.

Ten Hag needs to play him, he’s a phenomenal talent.
