Manchester United go into Christmas on a defeat. They fell victim to a 2-0 loss to David Moyes’ side.
It wasn’t exactly a Christmas cracker for the Red Devils. Their miserable performance with yet another goalless visit means they now sit in 8th, with Aston Villa at Old Trafford up next.
Erik ten Hag may have to shake things up in this fixture. His team just aren’t gelling at the moment, and something needs to change.
However, one player who won’t likely break through to the starting XI is Sergio Reguilon. We think Erik ten Hag seriously doesn’t trust the Spaniard.

Erik ten Hag doesn’t trust Sergio Reguilon
It’s no secret to anyone that Manchester United have had injury problems this season, but things took a severe turn when Ten Hag was forced to play a 19-year-old debutant against West Ham.
Willy Kambwala partnered Jonny Evans at the heart of the defence – and did well all things considered.
It was a bold move from Ten Hag, which does say a lot about Reguilon. We know Luke Shaw is competent as a centre-half, yet the manager decided to take the risk with Kambwala in favour of playing Shaw on the left.
This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Ten Hag has also played Diogo Dalot out of position on a few occasions, even when Reguilon has been fit on the bench.
It’s a worrying sign for a player Ten Hag signed – albeit probably out of necessity.
Reguilon’s time is ticking at Old Trafford…
With the 27-year-old just on loan, his time is seriously running out to impress at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag has confirmed that the Tottenham loanee could be on his way out of the club in January – due to a break clause in the Spaniard’s contract.
It’s also been speculated that Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing him, which could lead to Tottenham recalling to flog him away.
It’s becoming increasingly likely that Reguilon will not be in Manchester too much longer. We wish him well if he does depart.
