Manchester United should turn to Christos Tzolis as their winger target, even if it means hijacking Arsenal.
Last season, Michael Carrick made it clear that Manchester United want to sign a left winger this summer.
Marcus Rashford staying at United obviously complicates matters, but the Red Devils could still sell the Carrington graduate and need to find a replacement.
Links to Rafael Leao and Crysencio Summerville don’t excite me as much as 24-year-old Christos Tzolis.

Which transfer targets do you NOT want Man Utd to sign?
Let's turn the transfer question on it's head, and give Jason Wilcox some advice…
Man United and Christos Tzolis story so far
I imagine that Tzolis will be a fairly unfamiliar name to the majority of United supporters, but the Club Brugge winger is an extremely exciting talent.
Firstly, it should be said that Tzolis is keen to join United and has already named the club as move he’d love to make this summer.
- “My next step would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain, or Italy. United could convince me. Such a massive club with so much history. It would be hard to say no to that,” Tzolis said.
Frustratingly, Arsenal are also showing interest in Tzolis and are said to be leading the race for his signature. But United can win this transfer race if they move quickly.
Crysencio Summerville has been linked to Man Utd – Would you like to see us sign him? What is he worth?
Why Man United should go all-in on Christos Tzolis
In the 2025/26 season, Tzolis scored 22 goals and registered 29 assists across all competitions. That’s a total of 51 goals and assists in just 52 appearances.
Yes, the fact that it was done in the Belgian Pro League leaves a mark on his record, but those figures are among the best in Europe.
As pointed out by DataMB, Tzolis finished first in the Belgian Pro League for all of these statistics:
- Goals + assists – 1st
- xG + xA – 1st
- Assists – 1st
- Expected assists – 1st
- Shot assists – 1st
- Key passes – 1st
- xA per 100 passes – 1st
- Shots – 1st
- Successful attacking actions – 1st
- Touches in box – 1st
Greek journalist Dimitris Manakos has made it clear that Brugge will listen to offers for Tzolis this summer and are aiming to receive a club-record transfer fee.

Their current transfer record received is €37.5 million (£32m), so United could easily offer a record deal and still not break the bank.
Tzolis may not have the Premier League experience that Ineos would prefer, but he is a mercurial talent worth taking a risk on. Especially as an option to add depth as a left winger.
