His technical ability is a huge asset, but it can often look like it comes at the cost of his physical supremacy.
The same is reflected in his finishes, as he tries to be cute and precise with his finishes instead of just leveraging his physicality to blast it past the goalkeeper.
It’s hard to forget his cushioned header straight at the goalkeeper late on vs Spurs in the 2-0 win, which robbed Bruno Fernandes of an easy assist.
He has missed many chances due to that trait, but the Everton game showed he’s taken on that feedback and is taking that leap in real time.

First, he outpaced Michael Keane like he was barely an inconvenience. Then, he ran onto Bryan Mbeumo’s pass with only one thought in his mind.
He rifled Mbeumo’s pass straight into the bottom corner with “ruthlessness”, as Carrick put it after the game.
Part of that is down to confidence, as he’s clearly loving life right now, but it also continues a trend of Sesko making a conscious effort to add some stone-cold finishing.
Be it his top-corner rocket against Fulham or the deceptively strong finish against West Ham, Sesko is finally starting to use his physical gifts to overwhelm the opposition.
He always had the brains. Now, he’s beginning to use his brawn to become the complete package.
The next step from here is to do it while starting a game when the defenders are switched on and not tired. He could get that chance against Crystal Palace.
After his exploits so far off the bench, he will have earned it.
