A new name has emerged on Manchester United’s transfer radar in the shape of Jean Emmanuel N’Agoran.
As part of Manchester United’s summer transfer overhaul, Ineos could target a centre-back to strengthen Michael Carrick’s squad.
With Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt’s injury problems, Carrick may need an extra option at the back and concrete links are emerging to Jean Emmanuel N’Agoran.
According to Spanish outlet ElDesmarque, United have contacted the player’s representatives to learn about his situation.

The transfer report claims that N’Agoran has a £26 million release clause at Betis, which could tempt United and Ineos to move. United have been scouting the young defender.
N’Agoran joined Real Betis in January 2025 from the Young Africa academy in Ghana. While N’Agoran is yet to make his La Liga breakthrough, he has been a key player in the Spanish side’s youth team.
