Manchester United want Matias Fernandez-Pardo
With additional forwards on the agenda this summer for Manchester United, now interest is emerging in Lille’s young Belgian talent, Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
This comes according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, which now reports that Fernandez-Pardo is attracting interest from both City and United in Manchester.
Fernandez-Pardo is naturally a left-winger, explaining United’s interest in pursuing a more traditional wide man to compete with Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu.
City and United are both fans of Fernandez-Pardo, with competition for his signature expected to be fierce as both Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona are also interested.
No price tag is mentioned for Fernandez-Pardo, but given he is World Cup-bound with Belgium, it would be safe to assume Lille will be waiting to see how he performs there, as it could see his value skyrocket.

Who is Fernandez-Pardo, and why United want to sign him
Not to be mistaken for United’s interest in Mateus Fernandes given their similar names, Matias Fernandez-Pardo is a huge talent in his own right.
Born in Brussels, Fernandez-Pardo is a 21-year-old attacker who is just as comfortable up front as he is on the wing.
Right-footed, Fernandez-Pardo is predominantly a left-winger and this season he scored eight and assisted seven in 41 games in all competitions.
Where Fernandez-Pardo shines is in his dribbling, as he ranked in the 100th percentile this season in Ligue 1 for dribbles, while also ranking high for crosses and chances created.
This wouldn’t be a signing United make and expect him to be a starter immediately, but he would arrive as one of the quickest players in the league and therefore adding another dimension for Michael Carrick.
Plenty to like about the Belgian, one worth keeping an eye on.
