Marcus Rashford is in the form of his life right now, but where does Manchester United’s number ten rank in Europe’s goalscoring charts for the 2022-23 campaign?
The 25-year-old opened the scoring in Erik ten Hag side’s 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
The 51-time England international has scored 10 goals in 10 games for Manchester United in all competitions since the 2022 World Cup finished.
No player across Europe’s big-five leagues (England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain), has scored more during this period than the Manchester United Academy graduate.

Where does Marcus Rashford rank in Europe’s goalscoring charts?
With Paul Ince’s Reading heading to Old Trafford on Saturday for an FA Cup fourth-round clash, Rashford will be looking to score in his tenth consecutive game at Old Trafford having equalled Dennis Viollet’s 64-year-old record.
Rashford has scored 18 goals in all club competitions this season; only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (31) has netted more for a Premier League club.
Kylian Mbappe has scored 25 goals across all competitions for Paris Saint Germain while Barcelona’s talisman Robert Lewandowski has struck 22 goals in his maiden campaign at the Nou Camp.
Rashford’s left-footed finish against Forest moved him level with reported Ten Hag target and England teammate Harry Kane.
But United’s number ten is currently outscoring both Victor Osimhen (14) and Benjamin Sesko (7) who alongside Kane make up Ten Hag’s three-man striker shortlist, going into the summer, reports The Telegraph.
Rashford has also scored more than the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Mohamed Salah (both 17), Neymar (16), Lionel Messi and Jonathan David (both 13), Karim Benzema, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Lautaro Martinez (all 12).
Mehdi Taremi (19) and Goncalo Ramos (18), who both ply their trade in Portugal with Porto and Benfica, are posting similar numbers to Rashford, but like Sesko they aren’t competing in one of Europe’s so-called big-five leagues.
With only Haaland, Mbappe and Lewandowski ahead of Rashford in Europe’s goalscoring charts, the stats back up that United’s talisman is one of the best footballers on the planet currently.
