TNT Sports pundit Joe Cole revealed that he picked up on a subtle detail from Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim on the touchline during the Brentford match.
Ruben Amorim has found himself in the firing line at Old Trafford after the 40-year-old Manchester United manager oversaw another defeat with the Red Devils.
United have won only two matches in the 2025-26 season under Amorim and the Portuguese coach is facing immense pressure over the Red Devils’ run of form.
The Red Devils suffered their third Premier League defeat in their opening six league matches on Saturday afternoon, with Brentford comfortably beating United 3-1.
Amorim’s men visited the Gtech Community Stadium on the weekend and Brentford stunned United in the opening 20 minutes thanks to Igor Thiago’s stunning brace.

Manchester United summer signing Benjamin Sesko did have an impact in the first half after the striker reduced the deficit against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
However, United were left trailing the Bees in the second half at the Gtech Community Stadium before Mathias Jensen netted Brentford’s third of the contest.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Joe Cole singled out Ruben Amorim and the problems that are facing United amid their lacklustre start to the 2025-26 Premier League season.
The 43-year-old former Chelsea star said that Amorim’s “body language” was telling on the touchline at the Gtech and it would send a clear-cut message to his players.
“We looked at his body language on the sidelines, and he looks anxious and worried – and that will filter into the players,” Cole explained.
“They play in fits and starts, but there’s nothing consistent. The fact that he’s not won back-to-back Premier League games is a real concern.
“It’s a cultural thing, as what doesn’t help is that every player who has left United has gone and hit the ground running.
“That tells you there’s something wrong in the harmony of the whole club. To pull a Manchester United shirt on now, it must be the heaviest shirt in world football, because of how poor it’s been and because of the history of the club, and the expectations.”

United languish in 14th place in the Premier League table and speculation has already piled in on the long-term future of Red Devils boss Amorim at Old Trafford.
TNT Sports pundit Cole insisted that Amorim is not the main “problem” at United and he feels there are “massive” issues in every part of the Premier League club.
“He’s had long enough time now to implement what he wants,” he said.
“By not having European football and having plenty of time to prepare for a game such as this.
“I don’t think it is just a Ruben Amorim problem. There are massive, massive problems throughout the club.”
United will face Sunderland at Old Trafford in their first Premier League match in October before the start of the international break.
