Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has now dropped his powerful verdict on Sir Alex Ferguson and the Manchester United legend’s place in the history books.
Aberdeen and Manchester United icon Sir Alex Ferguson has been widely recognised as one of the best managers of all time after his exploits in England and Scotland.
The 83-year-old legendary Scotsman made a name for himself in his native homeland and oversaw a prolific managerial period at Scottish side Aberdeen.
Ferguson was able to dethrone Celtic and Rangers’ stranglehold over Scottish football during his time at the Pittodrie in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The United legend lifted three Scottish Premier Division titles, four Scottish Cups, a Scottish League Cup and a European Cup Winners’ Cup with Aberdeen as manager.

Man Utd and Aberdeen legend Sir Alex Ferguson has proved Pep Guardiola’s point with his incredible trophy haul
Outside of his impressive reign at Aberdeen, Ferguson retired as United manager after hoovering up a remarkable 38 trophies with the Premier League club.
The iconic Scot led United to an incredible period of dominance over English football, including leading the Red Devils to all 13 of their Premier League titles.
Ferguson might have missed out on two Champions League titles thanks to Guardiola, but the ex-Aberdeen manager lifted the trophy twice with the Red Devils.
The United legend, who retired from football management in 2013, was also the first manager in history to lead an English team to a continental treble win in 1999.
