Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has been keeping himself busy away from Old Trafford after he was left out of the England squad for the October break.

Marcus Rashford endured a disappointing season at Old Trafford in the 2023-24 campaign after the Manchester United star’s form fell off a cliff.

The 26-year-old United forward only managed to score eight times and picked up six assists in 43 appearances across all competitions last season.

Rashford’s lack of consistency and form led to the United player missing out on a place in England’s run to the final at Euro 2024 in Germany in the summer.

The England star has shown signs of improvement in the current campaign, with Rashford scoring four times and picking up two assists in 11 matches.

Man Utd star Rashford keeping busy

England interim manager Lee Carsley left Marcus Rashford out of the Three Lions squad in September for the Nations League campaign.

Rashford was also snubbed again for the October international break, with the Manchester United star fighting to secure his place back in the squad.

Footage has now emerged from Instagram user RH Elite Coaching of Rashford committing to more training away from Old Trafford during the break.

Rashford has previously shown his commitment to additional training during the September break after he failed to regain his place in the England squad.

In a training clip posted by RH Elite Coaching, Rashford is seen taking part in different training drills and even scores a superb free-kick.

Benni McCarthy speaks out on Rashford

Benni McCarthy was part of the United coaching staff when Rashford enjoyed a superb season under Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag in the 2022-23 campaign.

Rashford scored an impressive 30 times in 56 appearances across all competitions, with Benni McCarthy widely hailed for his work with the England star at the time.

McCarthy, who left Old Trafford after the 2023-24 campaign, praised Rashford as a “special human being” and admitted that he has kept in contact with the United star.

“Rashford is special – he’s a special human being,” he told SuperSport.

“He was ‘Marcus’ [as opposed to ‘Rashy’] to me. I’m straight to the point and I think he respected that instead of me sweet-talking him for other reasons.

“I was just a straight shooter and I think he probably didn’t have enough people in his life who are straight with him because everyone tells him what he wants to hear because of who he is.

“I was just normal and I think he appreciated that so any kind of advice he would come to me – advice on anything. We still message each other.”
