The Red Devils climbed to sixth place and Manchester United are only one point outside of the Premier League top four after their result at the Molineux.

Ruben Amorim deployed Matheus Cunha in the Red Devils’ starting XI and the United summer signing saw out the full 90 minutes against former side Wolves.
Cunha made an impact in the first half of United’s 4-1 win over Wolves after the 26-year-old Brazilian set up Bruno Fernandes for the opener of the Premier League tie.
Joshua Zirkzee, on the other hand, started the match on the bench and the Red Devils striker was subbed on for Mason Mount in the 84th minute on Monday.

The Brazil international impressed for Wolves in the 2024-25 season and Cunha netted 17 times and registered six assists in 36 matches across all competitions.
One X user, ‘Kev,’ on social media shared footage of Cunha acknowledging and waving at Wolves supporters after the full-time whistle in United’s 4-1 win.
Cunha is on the pitch alone at the Molineux and showed his classy support to fans of his former club before the ex-Wolves ace made his way off the Molineux pitch.

Another clip on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, showed Joshua Zirkzee and his United teammates embracing the away support on Monday.
United fans could be heard serenading the 24-year-old Dutch forward with his very own song and chant, with Zirkzee fully approving of the spine-tingling reception.

Zirkzee has been able to climb back into contention for United first-team minutes after manager Ruben Amorim lost striker Benjamin Sesko to a knee injury.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a January exit from the Premier League club and Zirkzee has attracted interest from clubs like Serie A side Roma.
